A very warm welcome to  Haywood Grove Friends: our school's parent/teacher association 

At Haywood Grove we aim to be a friendly and warm community with a family feel. It is important that all our children and their families feel part of the bigger Haywood Grove family and this is the main purpose of the Haywood Grove Friends.

Our second important purpose is to raise funds to support our children in school through the purchase of resources and activities that enrich their enjoyment of learning, preparing them for life now and in the future.

The vision for  ‘Haywood Grove Friends’ is that it will be dedicated to building, promoting and strengthening the school community as well as fostering a sense of togetherness by:

• Providing informal support and a listening ear for our families
• Providing opportunities for our families to build friendships, to socialise, and to establish wider support networks
• Strengthening home/school links and enabling families to share their views on any policy changes or initiatives that we are thinking of introducing in the school
• Demonstrating the value of families’ contributions and providing an alternative way for them to have a voice
• Building links between school professionals and family members
• Fundraising to provide improved provision for all our children

We expect that all members of the Haywood Grove Friends School Community: school professionals, families (direct and wider family) members, governors to be ‘Haywood Grove Friends’ and as such will encourage them to play their part in developing this into a thriving and effective group.
